‘The New Improved’ is based on the Feadog High Eb. However, Master Pipe and Whistle Maker from County Kerry, Cillian O’Briain has redesigned the instrument.

The mouthpiece has a special insert under the wind-way, which stops air billowing around inside the mouthpiece, making it more directed. Additionally the modified wind-way provides quality tonality with improved intonation throughout both octaves.

There is no shrillness to ‘The New Improved’, the sound is rounded with good projection whilst not being invasive.

A solidity is evident to the instrument, making it a little weightier than its cheaper counterparts. They do take a little mastering but any whistler worth his/her salt will soon have this super instrument playing wonderfully.
