The author, Ron Kavana is the son of an Irish father and American mother. Ron was born in County Cork and still resides there today. He has been an established figure at the cutting edge of contemporary Celtic and British music for more than three decades. Ron has worked with Alexis Korner, Charlie Watts (Rolling Stones), Jack Bruce, Donavan, The Cheiftains, Elvis Costello, Richard Thompson & the late Sandy Denny. He is probably better known for his many collaborations and appearances with The Pogues, Cherish The Ladies & Eileen Ivers.
